Each working program has its priority. Windows kernel priority is highest, other programs work with normal priority. Why? We may increase any program's priority not loading processor! When you change window, PC Acelerate automatically increase foreground window priority (programs shortcut you see in system tray). SpeedFan can access temperature sensors available on your pc. By acessing available hardware monitor chips, SpeedFan can show temperatures, voltages and fan speeds. SpeedFan can show S.M.A.R.T. data from almost evey hard disk too. Temperature sensors from almost every manufacturer are automatically detected and accessed. Usually, the only action you need to take is to rename the readings that SpeedFan found. If your hardware allows it and you properly configured SpeedFan, you can change fan speeds depending on system temperatures, thus reducing overall noise.

This is a program for testing LCD screens for dead pixels. A typical 17 inch monitor contains up to 4 million pixels, even a tiny dust particle on one of the pixels during the manufacturing process can create a dead pixel. Or a slight bump during shipping can break one of the highly sensitive pixels. If you've scoured every inch of your screen but can't find a single dead pixel, you are in luck. Because of the complexity of the design, it is generally regarded dead pixels appearing in some products are inevitable. If you need to absolutely make sure whether you have purchased a defective display, you can use this program.

PassMark DiskCheckup allows the user to monitor the SMART (Self Monitoring Analysis & Reporting Technology) attributes of a particular hard disk drive. SMART monitors elements of possible long term drive failure, such as 'Spin Up Time', the number of start/stops, the number of hours powered on and the temperature. DiskCheckup displays the current values of the SMART attributes, along with the Threshold value for that attribute. If any attribute value is close to or below the threshold, the drive is no longer reliable and should be replaced.
