Last Changed Files
Last Changed Files is freeware that will find the 100 files you changed most recently, on your hard drive or within one or more subdirectories that you specify. When you start Last Changed Files, it automatically scans your hard drive and shows you the last 100 files changed, sorted chronologically in the order that they were changed. For each file, you will see the file name, full folder path, file size and date of last change. You can also scan another drive, directory, or subdirectory. Last Changed Files can scan a 200 GB hard drive in less than 30 seconds. You can also define an 'exclude list' of folders that you don't want to scan.

FileAlyzer
FileAlyzer is a tool to analyze files - the name itself was initially just a typo of FileAnalyzer, but after a few days I decided to keep it. FileAlyzer allows a basic analysis of files (showing file properties and file contents in hex dump form) and is able to interpret common file contents like resources structures (like text, graphics, HTML, media and PE).

TrIDNet
TrIDNet is the GUI-.Net version of TrID! Have you ever been in a situation where you don't know what application can handle a file? Maybe because it's without any extensions, or it just doesn't make sense? This tool can help! TrID is a utility designed to identify file types from their binary signatures. While there are similar utilities with hard coded rules, TriID has no such rules. Instead, it is extensible and can be trained to recognize new formats in a fast and automatic way. TrID uses an XML-based database of definitions which describe recurring patterns for supported file types. You can help creating new definitions! Just run the TrIDScan module against a number of files of a given type. The program will do the rest. N.B. You need to download the TrID's package (witch contains over 500 filetypes defs) to use this program. (.NET Framework required!)
